I started becoming interested in fitness as a result of me joining this awesome workout place in Utica, NY called Next Level. If you live in that area, want to lose weight, and don’t go there….you’re dumb.
Anyways, even though I’ve moved, the motivation and attitude that I learned there have continued and reached into so many facets of my life. I never thought that when I first started working out I would feel THIS great about myself- and not only my appearance but about life in general. I’m definitely no fitness expert….I’ve been working out regularly and *trying* to eat clean for about a year and a half now. I find most of my workouts on other blogs or Pinterest.
There’s no shortcuts to losing weight- believe me I work hard at it and every day it’s a struggle. People will sometimes say to me “You don’t have to watch what you eat- you’re so skinny!” Well…..you don’t become skinny by eating whatever you want. When you hear ‘it’s not a diet it’s a lifestyle change’ …take it seriously. . It’s tough to stay on track when people (even though they might not even know it) are trying to throw you off track. If you ignore them and focus on yourself trust me it will pay off!
****I really don’t have that many workouts on here because shortly after I started this blog I realized I was working out WAYYY too hard, and hurt my back. It (a year later) has not fully been resolved and as a result for the past year I have really cut back on high intensity exercise. It’s a hard lesson to learn because I really loved working out and it made me feel great, however I pushed myself too hard and now have to deal with the consequences. So be persistent, stay track to your goals, but don’t over-work yourself. If you’re hurt, take a rest day. Your body will actually respond better if you let it rest. I had to learn this the hard way….hopefully soon my back will be better and I can go back to working out normally…I’ll keep you updated.

So I’m going to join Next Level. Will it work? Will I puke? Should I blog my way through this?
If you put in the work it will work…it’s really not that hard. It goes by so fast that’s why it was easy for me to go everyday. I went 4-5 times a week and in a year I lost about 25 lbs.
