A little bit of everything

19 Nov

I am REALLY struggling not to think too much about Thanksgiving. I have this one more week of school then a WEEK OFF!!!! Austin and I haven’t been home since Labor day so this is huge. However, I still have four days of school left so I have to keep my eye on the prize and focus on school so I don’t get too antsy. In the meantime, I waste time surfing the internet.

I figure I waste so much time reading things on the internet I might as well make it a habit of sharing…..Here are some of the things I’ve stumbled over in the past couple days! Enjoy!

I totally agree with you about how ‘fitspiration’ photos make you feel. I workout everyday and eat fairly healthy and ‘clean’; however, I will NEVER look like those women. It’s not realistic. It’s not my job to look perfect and pose for ‘fitspiration’ photos. I don’t have a personal trainer, makeup artist and Photoshop assistance. I think these photos just set us up for mental failure. I try to remember that none of that is real (at least not in the everyday, ‘real’ world) – you know?

They make me feel like I should be working out harder, which I already work out 4 X a week, and I have a back injury so i have to be careful. They used to make me feel guilty and depressed because i can’t push myself that hard. Now I know they’re unrealistic but I still feel bad about not working out sometimes so I just avoid them!!

That gluten-free almond butter bread sound awesome! Thanks for sharing it.

Completely agree on Fitspiration photos. You should check out Healthy Helper’s competition to remake one for a nice giveaway 🙂
